For the last 15 years Secur-i-Disc (UK) has been involved in the manufacture of security products for documentation. Our main product is the Tamper Proof Tax Disc Holder which prevents the alteration of details on the Tax Disc. Once a Tax Disc is stolen, the details are deleted with either blake fluid or a razor blade and sold on the black market for upwards of £50. The Secur-i-Disc Holder makes it impossible for would be thieves to alter any details on the license, thus rendering it of no market value to the receiver of the stolen Tax Disc or to the thief himself.
For several years Secur-i-Disc has supplied these unique holders to over 74 City/Borough councils. During this period NOT ONE SINGLE TAX DISC HAS BEEN REPORTED STOLEN!
Based on this outstanding success in combating the theft of Tax Disc Licenses, Secur-i-Disc were approached by the Metropolitan Police and were requested to find a solution to the theft and fraudulent use of the Blue Badges. Using the same principles as the Tax Disc Holder, we have developed a unique Tamper Proof Blue Badge Holder that will solve the crime once and for all and reduce the black market value of stolen Blue Badges from £1500 to ZERO.
