1) Thermographic Ink
The thermographic ink is a modern security feature which allows the colour of the ink to alter with a change of temperature. By simply rubbing the thumb over the registration sticker it will change colour immediately and turn much whiter as the temperature increases. This will allow the Traffic Police/Traffic Wardens to instantly determine whether the holder is a forgery. This cannot be reproduced by either photocopying or laser copying.
2) Registration Sticker
The Registration Sticker identifies the user with their preferred vehicles of transportation. Because of the security features within the sticker. these registrations may not be altered. Buyers of stolen Blue Badges will not purchase a Holder with someone else's details on.
3) UV Resistant Covering
The UV resistant covering is a polarised plastic which prevents the ultraviolet light from penetrating below the surface of the plastic Sheet. Tens of thousands of passes have completely had their details eradicated within a few months of exposure due to prolonged exposure to sunlight. The covering will prevent this happening for a period in excess of three years.
4) Tamper Proof
As the Holder will be Tamper Proof, it will be impossible for any details on the pass to be deleted or changed.
5) Validity of Usage
The wording at the bottom of the pass identifies the holder to the registered vehicles. This will deter any third party from purchasing a stolen Blue Badge from a thief, as they will be displaying the pass in a vehicle that does not match the vehicle registrations shown on the Holder. It will therefore render the pass of no market value to the thief.
With all of the above implemented, the crime of stolen Blue Badges will be completely eradicated and have a dramatic impact on reducing car crime figures.
